Corti Science Competition

Could you do with £2,000?

If you are starting an engineering, science or maths based course in the UK you could be eligible for £2,000 of free money.

How it works

Each year the Corti Trust gives away £2,000 to a new university science student. To win it this year you must:

Describe a recent advance either in the field of genetic engineering or in the field of transportation technology

Eligibility

The competition is open to any UK resident aged 21 or under, who is starting a BSc, MSc or equivalent in a "traditional" science or engineering subject, at a British university in 2012. Eligible subjects include for example, biology, chemistry, physics, maths, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical sciences. Combined honours including these will also be eligible e.g. chemistry with french. Social sciences are not eligible. We have also decided that as there are many other bursaries available for medical students, straight medicine is also not eligible. If you are not sure whether your subject is eligible, contact us via the website, www.cortiscienceprize.org.uk.
